Hope is like a vital third leg of a three-legged stool. Like with faith and love, hope is a kind of mental and emotional switch we must hit inside our head. It’s a choice we can make. But not a blind choice. God has given us powerful ancient words and prayers upon which to base that choice. That’s the subject of this episode. Psalm 108:1 ESV My heart is steadfast, O God! I will sing and make melody with all my being!  Psalm 27:14 ESV Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD! Psalm 31:24 NIV Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. 2 Corinthians 4:16–17 ESV So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.
